What to expect
Calm, unhurried, and fully explained
Before any cups are placed, we talk it through — what cupping does, where the cups will go, and what you'll feel. Nothing happens without your consent, and if it's your first time we'll take it gently.
During treatment, cups stay in place for 5–15 minutes, often while massage continues on other areas — the two work beautifully together. The sensation is a firm, drawing pressure; most people find it deeply relaxing.
Afterwards, you'll likely have circular marks where the cups sat. They're not bruises — they're the result of increased blood flow to the surface — and they fade over 3–10 days. We recommend avoiding intense workouts for 24–48 hours after your session to let your body get the full benefit.

Where cupping helps most
Back & neck pain
01Broad, stubborn tightness across the back, neck and shoulders.
Suction decompresses the tissue layers, easing tension that pressure alone can miss.
Athletic recovery
02Heavy, fatigued muscles after training or competition.
Increased circulation helps clear metabolic waste and speed muscle recovery.
Chronic pain conditions
03Ongoing pain from conditions like fibromyalgia or arthritis.
A gentle, low-force option for sensitive bodies where deep pressure isn't tolerable.
Tension headaches & stress
04Headaches, shoulder tension and a nervous system stuck in high gear.
Cupping's slow, drawing pressure is deeply calming — many clients drift off during treatment.
How to book
Part of your massage, not an extra charge
Cupping isn't a separate appointment here — it's one of the techniques available within your remedial massage session, at no additional cost. Book a massage and ask for cupping, or simply mention it when you arrive.
It's not for everyone, and we're upfront about that: we don't use cupping during pregnancy, or if you have a bleeding disorder, take blood-thinning medication, or have skin conditions, inflammation or infection in the treatment area. If any of these apply, plenty of other techniques still work well for you.

Questions, answered
No — cupping shouldn't hurt. You'll feel a firm pulling or drawing sensation where each cup sits, which most people describe as unusual at first and then deeply relaxing. We adjust the suction to your comfort, and you can ask for it to be eased at any time.
